June 27, 2020 - Harris bags second win of the season at Needmore Speedway
Friday night found Clay Harris in action at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.) pulling double duty in the Late Model and Modified divisions. Topping the 20-car Late Model field in time trials, Harris locked into the pole position for the A-Main. After leading the majority of the race, Clay ran over some debris in the closing laps that cut down his right-rear tire. He was credited with an eighth place outing. In a stout field of 27 Modifieds, Clay secured his spot into the A-Main with the sixth fastest lap in qualifying. Getting spun around late in the 25-lapper, Harris rallied from the tail of the field to place 11th.

Following the fastest time in his group in his Modified, Harris scored a heat race victory, which positioned him second on the starting grid for the main event. After a pair of incidents that sentenced him to the tail, Clay suffered a flat-tire late in the feature that resulted in a ninth place outing.

June 20, 2020 - Runner-up finish in 602 Late Model at Waycross Motor Speedway
On Saturday afternoon Clay Harris visited Waycross Motor Speedway (Waycross, Georgia) pulling double duty with the Southern Clash Late Model Series and in the 602 Late Model division. Drawing 23 Southern Clash Late Models, Harris secured his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with the second fastest time in his group behind Kyle Vansickle. Rolling off fourth, Clay was up to second and challenging for the lead when mechanical issues struck. With motor issues sidelining him for the remainder of the event, Harris was credited with a 13th place finish.

In his 602 Late Model, Harris timed in fourth fastest in his group before coming in second in the 15-lap feature that was shortened due to time restraints. He trailed Bubba Whitener across the line with Bud Chancey, Mack Carter, and Ben Faircloth rounding out the Top-5.

June 13, 2020 - Top 5 finish with Southern Clash Late Models at Needmore
1Clay Harris returned to Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Saturday evening piloting his Dunn Rite Construction No. 6 Late Model. In a field of 19 Southern Clash Late Models, Harris laid down the fifth fastest time overall in time trials, which positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. May 23, 2020 - 12th Place Finish in Gene Maine Memorial at Needmore Speedway
1Saturday night found Clay Harris in action at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park. Ga.) for the inaugural Gene Maine Memorial. Drawing 23 Super Late Models for the $6,000-to-win A-Main, Clay followed up the 15th fastest time overall in qualifying with a seventh place finish in his heat. May 9, 2020 - Runner-up Finish with Southern Clash Late Models at Needmore
With several precautionary measures in place to host the event during the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Clay Harris traveled to Senoia (GA) Raceway on Thursday evening powering his Dunn Rite Construction No. 6 Late Model for the DirtonDirt Shootout. With the Top 3 qualifiers from each group locked into the Dash, Harris timed in eighth fastest in his group. Needing a fourth place finish or better in his heat race to make the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Clay slipped back to an 11th place outing.

On Saturday night at Needmore (GA) Speedway competing in a field of 19 Southern Clash Late Models, Clay secured his spot into the $2,000-to-win A-Main with the second fastest lap overall in time trials behind Mark Whitener. Holding his spot for all 30-laps, Harris notched a runner-up finish behind Whitener with Wil Herrington, Nevin Gainey, and Joe Kump rounding out the Top-5.

March 7, 2020 - Harris Dominates Half Mile Hustle Opener at All-Tech Raceway
1On Friday evening Clay Harris invaded All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) piloting his Rescue Metal Framing No. 6 Late Model entry for the two-day Half Mile Hustle. After contact with the wall in his heat race dropped him back to a 2nd place finish, Harris led flag-to-flag in the feature to capture his first win of the season and a $1,000 payday.

The following night in a stout field of 26 Southern Clash Late Models, Clay locked into the pole position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events. After battling with Mark Whitener and Kyle Bronson for the top spot early in the feature, Harris got collected in a tangle following a restart that left him on his roof. He was able to walk away uninjured.

February 22, 2020 - Clay Harris Breaks While Leading at Hendry County
Clay Harris returned to action on Friday evening at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) for the Late Model portion of the Borderline Brawl. Battling with Nevin Gainey for the top spot in the feature, Harris came up short at the line to place 2nd behind Gainey.

The following night at Hendry County Motorsports Park (Clewistown, Florida), Clay locked his spot into the A-Main with a heat race victory. After jumping up to a commanding lead, Harris suffered a broken fan belt that brought an immediate end to his night.

February 9, 2020 - Harris Bags Top 5 Finish at North Florida Speedway
Thursday night saw Clay Harris visit East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) testing out his 525 motor against a field of 58 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for the fourth round of the 44th annual Wrisco Industries Winternationals. Following an 8th place finish in his heat race, Harris was a scratch from his B-Main after he was slated to start near the tail of the 10-lapper.

On Friday evening Harris headed to North Florida Speedway (Lake City, Florida) competing against a field of 15 Late Models for the annual Winter Nationals. Reeling in a podium finish in the feature, Harris scored a 3rd place spot behind Nevin Gainey and Hunter Sweet with Clay Bedenbaugh and Jason Fitzgerald completing the Top-5 finishers.

The following night, Harris overtook Nevin Gainey for the lead early in the feature but engine woes forced him to retire early.

February 1, 2020 - Top 10 Finish in Winternationals Finale at Easy Bay Raceway Park
Clay Harris was one of 52 Newsome Crate Racin’ USA Winter Series entries signed in at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Thursday evening for the three-day Winternationals. Following the sixth fastest lap in his time trial group, Harris scored a runner-up finish in his B-Main behind Jeremy Shaw which positioned him 17th on the starting grid for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. Coming one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Clay improved six spots to place 11th.

After losing Friday night’s program to bad weather, Clay came in 6th in his heat race on Saturday evening transferring him into the B-Main. Needing to place 3rd or better to make the $5,000-to-win finale, Harris streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory. Rolling off 18th, Clay Harris advanced through the field eight spots to register a 10th place finish.

January 25, 2020 - Clay Harris Begins Modified Winter Nationals at East Bay
1 On Tuesday evening Clay Harris visited East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) piloting his Wilkerson Farms No. 21J Modified entry for the annual Winter Nationals. Drawing 45 cars for the five-day event, Harris dropped one spot in his heat race to register a 6th place finish. Streaking to a 12-lap consolation victory, Clay locked into the 21st-starting position for the opening night feature. With $1,000 on the line, Clay Harris was an early retiree from the 25-lapper with five laps remaining. He was credited with an 18th place finish. (Mike Horne photo)

The following night, Clay came in second fastest in his time trial group behind Kevin Adams before placing 5th in his heat. Following a consolation victory, Harris reeled in a 19th place outing in the 25-lap feature.

For the third round of the Winter Nationals on Thursday, Harris logged an 8th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 5 into the $1,500-to-win A-Main, Clay fell one spot short with a 6th place finish.

On Friday night, Clay jumped up one spot in his heat to place 2nd behind Jason Hughes. Earning the sixth-starting position for the $1,500-to-win A-Main, Harris pulled off early from the 30-lap affair on the fifth lap.

He ended up scratching from Saturday evening’s $5,000-to-win finale.

January 18, 2020 - Top 5 Finish in Sunshine Nationals Opener at Volusia
Bringing the 2020 season to life, Clay Harris visited Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) on Thursday evening to kick off the Sunshine Nationals. In a field of 41 Newsome Crate Racin’ USA Winter Series entries, Harris followed up the sixth fastest lap in his time trial group with an 8-lap heat race victory. Starting the $1,500-to-win A-Main in second, Clay dropped three positions in the 25-lap affair to place fifth behind Kyle Bronson, Randy Weaver, Max Blair, and Walker Arthur.

The following night, Harris grabbed the fifth and final transfer spot in his heat which positioned him 18th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $2,000 on the line, Clay was an early retiree from the 25-lapper on the ninth lap.

For the final round of the Sunshine Nationals on Saturday, Clay came in seventh in his heat giving him one final shot at the $10,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place second or better, Harris fell short with a fifth place finish.

December 22, 2019 - Harris Records Four-Win 2019 Campaign
Clay Harris traveled to a total of 37 events throughout the 2019 season behind the wheel of his Dunn Rite Construction/ Big Frog Motorsports No. 6 Late Model entry. Losing eight of his scheduled dates to bad weather, Harris tallied four wins, 17 Top-5 finishes, and 25 Top-10 outings.

December 14, 2019 - Harris Tops Hendry County Foes in Jim Morgan Memorial
1 Saturday night found Clay Harris in action at Hendry County Speedway (Clewiston, Florida) piloting his Dunn Rite Construction No. 6 Late Model entry for the Jim Morgan Memorial. Rolling off on the pole of his heat race, Harris cruised to a heat race victory which positioned him third on the starting grid for the main event after the invert. He quickly navigated his way to the front to pick up his fourth win of the season.

November 24, 2019 - Clay Harris Attends Reuitmann Memorial at VSP
On Friday night Clay Harris returned to the Open Wheel Modified ranks for the Emil & Dale Reutimann Memorial at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida). After suffering a blown motor in practice, Harris and the team were able to get a back-up motor installed before time trials on Friday evening. Following the 32nd fastest lap, Clay and another competitor made contact in his heat that cut down a tire.

Needing a 3rd place finish or better in his B-Main on Saturday night for one last shot at the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Clay Harris passed ten cars in the 15-lapper but fell two spots short of a transfer position with a 5th place finish.

November 2, 2019 - Harris Salvages 7th Place in Modified at Charlotte
1Clay Harris made the trip to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) on Friday evening pulling double duty in the Crate Late Model and Open Wheel Modified ranks for the fourth annual Driven Racing Oil World Short Track Championship. In a stout field of 54 Late Models, Harris recorded the second fastest lap in his time trial group behind Logan Roberson before getting ran over by another competitor in his heat race. Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday night for another shot at the $4,000-to-win A-Main, Clay captured an 8-lap consolation victory which positioned him 22nd on the starting grid for the A-Main. In the Modified ranks, Harris followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group behind Kyle Strickler with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Starting Saturday night’s $4,000-to-win A-Main in 12th, Clay was involved in a tangle early in the feature but marched forward to a 7th place finish.

October 26, 2019 - Top 5 Finish in Modified at All-Tech Raceway
Friday night saw Clay Harris return to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) pulling double duty for the two-day Showdown on the Suwannee. After topping the charts in his time trial group in the Late Model division, Harris slipped back to a 7th place finish in his heat. Coming in 2nd in his B-Main, Clay earned the 19th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night. In his Modified, Harris scored a 3rd place finish in his heat locking his spot into the Saturday’s A-Main.

Passing six cars in the 75-lap feature, Clay notched a 13rd place outing. In the Open Wheel Modified ranks, Harris held his spot for the entire distance of the feature to place 5th behind Jeff Matthews, Shane Burrows, Johnny Collins, and Dale Kelley.

October 12, 2019 - Clay Harris Rules All-Tech for Third Win of the Season
1Clay Harris invaded All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) on Saturday night piloting his Dunn Rite Construction No. 6 Late Model entry for the Southern Clash. In a field of 17 cars, Harris topped the charts in time trials which positioned him on the pole for the main event. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Harris led wire-to-wire en route to his third win of the season over Jimmy Sharpe Jr., Bo Allen, Donnie Chappell, and Tyler Crowder.
