September 14, 2019 - Harris Attends Fastrak World Championship at VMS
On Friday night Clay Harris traveled to Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) pulling double duty for the 16th annual Fastrak World Championship. Drawing a stout field of 113 Crate Late Models for a pair of heat races, Harris recorded a 5th and 3rd place finish which positioned him 13th in total passing points.

In his Modified, Harris secured his spot into Saturday night’s A-Main with a heat race victory and 3rd place finish. He dropped three spots in the feature notching a 6th place finish.

Earning the 13th-starting position for the $50,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Clay experienced motor issues early in the 75-lap affair that saw him retire early.

August 31, 2019 - Top 10 Finish in UCRA Action at Blue Ridge
After losing his original plans to Mother Nature, Clay Harris traveled to Blue Ridge Motorsports Park (Blue Ridge, Georgia) on Saturday night for the United Championship Racing Alliance (UCRA) sanctioned program. Earning the 12th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Harris improved three spots to place 9th.

August 10, 2019 - Podium Finish at Bubba Raceway Park
Clay Harris visited Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Saturday afternoon powering his Dunn Rite Construction No. 6 Crate Late Model entry. After topping the charts in time trials, Harris cruised to a heat race victory which positioned him second on the starting grid for the A-Main. Jumping out to an early lead, Clay held the top spot for the first 13 circuits until dropped two positions to place 3rd when the checkered flag flew.

August 3, 2019 - Harris Scores Runner-up Finish at All-Tech Raceway
1On Saturday night Clay Harris invaded All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) competing in a field of 18 Southern Clash Late Models. After leading the first 23 laps of the feature, Harris dropped one spot in the remaining seven circuits to place 2nd behind Mark Whitener with Bo Allen, Trent Lloyd, and Nevin Gainey rounding out the Top-5. July 20, 2019 - 6th Place Finish in Crate at Screven Motor Speedway
After losing Friday’s program at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia), Clay Harris traveled to Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) on Saturday night pulling double duty in the Super and Crate Late Model ranks. In a field of 25 Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals entries, Harris recorded a 6th place finish in his heat earning him the 22nd-starting position for the A-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Cla was working his way forward when he got caught behind a wreck that ended his night early.

In the Crate Late Model feature, Harris dropped two spots in the feature registering a 6th place finish.

July 13, 2019 - Harris Records 4th Place Finish at Needmore Speedway
Saturday night saw Clay Harris return to action at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Georgia) competing in a field of 23 Southern Clash Late Models. Reeling in a Top-5 finish in the feature, Harris scored a 4th place spot behind Joseph Brown, Dalton Cook, and Rhett Carter with Adam Giles coming in 5th.

June 22, 2019 - Top 5 Finish in Summer Sizzler at All-Tech Raceway
Clay Harris was one of 25 Southern Clash Late Models on hand at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) on Saturday evening for the Summer Sizzler. After laying down the fastest time overall in qualifying, Harris received the 10th-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main via the pill draw. With a handful of cautions slowing his moment, Clay improved six spots in the 40-lapper reeling in a 4th place finish behind David Whitener, Trey Pearson, and Tyler Crowder with Jamie Carter coming in 5th.

June 1, 2019 - 6th Place Finish at East Bay Raceway Park

May 26, 2019 - Pair of Podium Finishes Over Memorial Day Weekend
Saturday night found Clay Harris in action at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Georgia) competing in a field of 17 Southern Clash Late Models. Following the third fastest time overall in qualifying, Harris ran 2nd the majority of the feature before fading one spot to place 3rd behind Rhett Carter and Russell Brown with Garrett Lloyd and Tyler Turvin rounding out the Top-5.

April 27, 2019 - Harris Attends DLCS Doubleheader at Talladega Short Track
Clay Harris traveled to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) on Friday night kicking off the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Series doubleheader. With a stout field of 48 cars registered in for action, Harris laid down the ninth fastest time in his qualifying group before grabbing the 4th and final transfer spot in his B-Main. Starting the opening night feature in 20th, Clay held his spot for all 40-laps to place 20th.

Returning on Saturday night, Harris came in fourth fastest in his group transferring him into the B-Main. Needing to place 4th or better to make the $2,000-to-win finale, Clay fell short with a 9th place outing.

April 13, 2019 - Runner-up Finish with Southern Clash Late Models at All-Tech
Saturday night found Clay Harris in action at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) competing in a field of 17 Southern Clash Late Models. Receiving the 8th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main after the invert, Harris gained six spots in the 30-lapper reeling in a 2nd place finish behind Tyler Crowder with Will Herrington, Trey Pearson, and Bo Allen completing the Top-5 finishers.

April 6, 2019 - Harris Caught Behind a Wreck in Donnie Tanner Memorial at EBRP
On Saturday evening Clay Harris was one of 26 Crate Late Models signed in at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the Donnie Tanner Memorial. Battling for a $5,000 payday in the 50-lap A-Main, Harris got stuck behind a wreck in the early stages of the feature that sent him slamming into a yuke tire. He was an early retiree while being credited with a 21st place finish.

March 30, 2019 - Clay Harris Bags Second Win of the Season at All-Tech Raceway
1 Clay Harris traveled to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) on Saturday evening powering the Dunn Rite Construction #6 Crate Late Model entry for the regular night of racing. Starting the night off with a heat race victory, Harris received the 4th-starting position for the feature after the invert. Blasting into the lead on the second lap, Clay built a comfortable lead in the remaining 18 circuits to register his second win of the season over Dave Markharm Jr. and Dusty Sparkman.

March 9, 2019 - Harris Finishes 3rd in Durrence Layne Winter Shootout Series
1Friday night saw Clay Harris return with the Durrence Layne Winter Shootout Series at Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) for the two-day Cochran Clash. In a field of 21 cars, Harris came in 14th fastest in qualifying positioning him 14th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. March 2, 2019 - Top 5 Finish in Winternationals Finale at Bubba Raceway Park
On Thursday evening Clay Harris was one of 26 Durrence Layne Winter Shootout Series entries signed in at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) for the Bubba Army Winternationals. Laying down the eighth fastest time in qualifying, Harris locked into the 8th-starting position for the opening night feature. Getting caught in a tangle after a late-race caution, Clay was slammed up against a yuke tire while trying to avoid a collision bringing an early end to his night.

The following night, Harris secured his spot into the $2,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth fastest time overall in qualifying. Hanging on to a Top-10 finish in the 40-lap affair, Clay notched an 8th place spot.

February 9, 2019 - Harris Wins at Hendry County Motorsports Park; Salvages 3rd Place Finish on Saturday
1Clay Harris hopped behind the wheel of his Griffin Motorsports #6 Crate Late Model on Friday night for the two-day special at Hendry County Motorsports Park (Clewiston, Florida). Starting on the pole of his heat race, Clay cruised to a heat race win locking his spot into the opening night feature. Receiving the 4th-starting position based off the invert, Harris streaked to his first win of the season to claim the $1,000 payday.

Returning on Saturday evening for the $2,000 top prize, Harris jumped up two spots in his heat race to place 2nd. Earning the 4th-starting position for the main event, Clay worked his way into a podium spot early and began challenging for the lead until contact caused the left-rear tire to go flat. Joining the field from the tail, Clay Harris navigated his way up to a 3rd place finish.

February 1, 2019 - Top 5 Finish in Night Two of Winter Nationals at East Bay
1 Thursday night saw Clay Harris return to action at East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Florida) for the annual Winter Nationals. In a field of 31 Crate Late Models, Harris registered the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group before dropping one spot in his 10-lap heat race to place 6th. Transferring into the B-Main, Harris streaked to a consolation victory positioning him 20th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. The following night for the $2,500 top prize, Clay followed up the third fastest time in his qualifying group with a 4th place finish in his heat. Starting the feature in 12th, Harris advanced through the field seven spots to place 5th behind Keith Nosbisch, Travis Varnadore, Steve Mathis Jr., and Phillip Cobb.

Saturday’s $3,000-to-win finale was cancelled by Mother Nature.

January 12, 2019 - Clay Harris Rallies Back to Place 6th in Cochran World Championship
On Friday night Clay Harris was one of 28 Crate Late Models signed in at Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) for the $10,000-to-win World Championship. Following the second fastest time overall in qualifying behind Travis Pennington, Harris streaked to a 10-lap heat race victory positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the main event on Saturday night. Running conistently in the Top 5 for the majority of the race, Harris suffered a flat-tire in the closing laps but rallied from the tail of the field to place 6th.

January 6, 2019 - Harris Records 16th Place Finish in Super at Ice Bowl
1Clay Harris kicked off the 2019 season on Saturday at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) for the 28th annual Ice Bowl. The 2018 season saw Clay Harris compete in a total of 31 events behind the wheel of his Dunn Rite Construction #6 Wildcat Racing Engine Crate Late Model. With Mother Nature determining the outcome of 13 of his scheduled dates, Harris collected 16 Top-10 outings and seven Top-5 finishes.

November 24, 2018 - Motor Issues Hampers Clay Harris' Turkey 100 at Swainsboro
Clay Harris was one of 32 Crate Late Models signed in at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia) on Friday night for the two-day Turkey 100. With reoccurring motor issues setting him behind the eight-ball to begin the night, Harris transferred into the B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the $20,000-to-win main event. Needing to place 4th or better to make the 100-lapper, Clay came up two spots short with a 6th place finish.
