Harris charges to podium at Needmore
Clay Harris made the trip to Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) with his Rescue Metal Framing No. 6 Late Model for the 11th annual Crate Racin' USA Early Bird 50.
With only qualifying slated for Friday, Harris went sixth-quickest out of nine Late Models in his group.
For the $10,000-to-win main event on Saturday, Harris went on a tear through the 26-car field. Picking off multiple positions from his 18th-place starting spot, Clay would end up on the podium when the checkers flew. He trailed Jimmy Thomas and Hunter Peacock with Tyler Sanders and Mark Whitener completing the Top-5.
