Harris records runner-up finish in Rusty Dixon Memorial at East Bay
On Saturday evening, Clay Harris returned to the driver's seat of his Wilkerson Farms No. 21j Modified at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Fla.) for the Rusty Dixon Memorial.
With 39 Modifieds piled into the pit area, Harris was the quickest qualifier in his group before winning his heat. With $9,700 on the line in the feature, Clay led 44 of the 50-laps but surrendered the top spot in the closing laps to finish second. He trailed Jeff Mathews across the line with Maverick Varnadore, Devin Dixon, Shane Burrows completing the Top-5.
