Clay Harris entered his Wilkerson Farms No. 21J Modified into competition at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla) for the modified portion of the week-long DIRTcar Nationals.

With a whopping 102 modifieds in the pit area on Monday, Harris qualified eighth-quickest in his group which placed him in the fifth feature of the evening. Rolling off from the third row, Clay gained three spots to record a podium finish in third.

On Tuesday, Clay lined up on the front row of the fourth 20-lap feature following the fourth-fastest lap qualifying lap in his group. Harris completed all 20-laps to bring home a runner-up finish.

For Wednesday's features, Harris missed the eight ball in qualifying which caused him to start towards the back in his feature. Clay recorded a 10th-place outing in the second feature.

For Thursday's show, Harris put on a clinic in the fifth modified feature. Clay went on a 12th-to-1st charge in just eight laps and cruised the rest of the way to the checkers.

With the week's finishes setting heat race lineups on Friday, Harris rolled off from the fifth position in his heat and gained one position. Clay was able to transfer to the Gator Championship A-Main after winning his B-Main. For the main event, Harris pulled off the track 13 laps in and was credited with a 25th-place finish.
