11th-place finish in Crate Racin' USA opener at Cochran
Clay Harris entered his Wilkerson Farms No. 6 Late Model into competition with the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Series on Saturday afternoon at Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Ga.) for the No Foolin’ Foray.
With 44 Late Models in the pit area, Harris made up for a rough qualifying lap with a 9th-to-4th charge in his heat race to start the feature from the seventh row. For the $10,000-to-win main event, Harris gained three positions on his way to an 11th-place finish in the 50-lap feature.
