Sixth-place finish in Hunt the Front show at Swainsboro Raceway
Clay Harris began his weekend at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Ga.) for the $10,000-to-win Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series event.
With 34 cars packed into the pit area, Clay qualified seventh-fastest in his group and finished third in his heat race. Rolling off from the sixth-row in the 50-lap main event, Harris slowly made his way forward to finish just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
With Saturday's $10,044-to-win event at Senoia rained out, Harris switched gears and towed his No. 21J modified to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) on Saturday afternoon. After topping the field in qualifying, Harris went on to pick up a heat race victory. With a top-six invert placing Clay on the third-row for the 25-lap feature, Harris stormed to the front of the field before losing a driveshaft on lap 19. He was scored 16th in the final rundown.
