Clay Harris treks to Keystone State for Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway
Making the long haul to The Keystone State, Clay Harris joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday afternoon at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) for the Firecracker 100.
With 53 Late Models checked in for night one, Harris qualified sixth-quickest in his group before running third in his heat race. Starting ninth in his $5,000-to-win prelim, Clay brought home a Top-10 finish in 10th.
For another split $5,000-to-win show on Friday, Clay once again started his prelim from the fifth-row but fell back six positions to finish 16th.
Racing his way into the $50,000-to-win main event by nabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race, Harris recorded a 15th-place outing in the 100 lapper.
