Mechanical failure spoils solid outing at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex

Losing Friday's event at Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park, Clay Harris joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday afternoon at Muskingum County Speedway (Dresden, Ohio) for the Freedom 60.

With a strong 36-car field in the pit area, Harris nabbed the final transfer spot in his heat race and started the $20,000-to-win feature from the seventh-row. Falling five spots in the 60 lapper, Clay wound up 18th.

Tagging on an extra race for the weekend, Harris joined 23 other teams at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex (Peebles, Ohio) on Sunday afternoon for the 4B4EVER.

Moving from fourth-to-second in his heat race, Clay was running fourth with less than five laps to go when a mechanical failure forced him to pull in. He was scored 12th with a DNF.
